This curious spiral pattern appeared in a field directly opposite Stonehenge, it appears to show a mathematic fractal pattern produced by a set of mathematical equations known as the Julia set. It also resembles the spiral of a shell or a galaxy and is similar in style to the Milk Hill Galaxy formation which appeared 5 years later in 2001.

Reportedly a pilot flew over the blank area of fields and seeing that it had appeared when on a return flight 40 minutes later. The signal is still in dispute purely because the pilot later retracted his statement claiming that he could have been mistaken on his first fly over of the area.
